BASC celebrates German Culture
Thursday, April 08, 2010
During it's 4th Annual International Week the students, staff and families of the British American School of Charlotte celebrated the country of Germany! German history and culture was explored as the children experienced what it was like to "live" with the Berlin Wall. A replica of the Berlin Wall was erected in the hallway and the school was divided into "East" and "West" Berlin. The "wall" could also be found in the outside play area! The children presented their learning to their parents on the Thursday evening at which time the wall was knocked down! A Reunification celebration was held the following day! The week was a fabulous opportunity for learning for children and adults alike!
