The British American School of Charlotte was the fifth of the British Schools of America to open, opening its doors in September 2004. The unique and international style of the school has proven popular and attractive to a wide variety of American, British and international families in the Charlotte metro area. Today, BASC’s enrolment comprises of approximately 140 students. Charlotte has a small international population amongst its predominantly American student body.

The British American School of Charlotte is located in the popular Ballantyne/South Charlotte area, with easy access from I-485 and other South Charlotte thoroughfares.

The British American School of Charlotte aims to provide a broadly based and tailored British style education for students from Nursery to Year 9. The school is part of the British Schools of America, a division of the WCL Group, a British company which also operates Fieldwork Education and Compass International Schools. The British Schools of America also operates sister schools in Washington, D.C., Houston, Chicago and Boston.
